The Honda competition department (HRC) has announced for the end of the 2018 season and by "mutual agreement", the contractual relationship that united it with the Spanish driver Dani Pedrosa.
In a statement issued by Honda and Binance App Users Data with statements from its president, Yoshishige Nomura, the end of a common relationship that began in 2006 and during which the Spanish driver achieved 31 victories and three world runners-up finishes for the Japanese giant in MotoGP.
"Today is a sad day for me and on behalf of HRC I want to thank Dani for all his work and effort and I want to express my gratitude for these two decades together and I want to wish him the best for the future," says the president of HRC , Yoshishige Nomura.
Dani Pedrosa also thanks HRC in the same statement for the "years of great success, in which I have grown not only as a driver but also as a person. I will always carry HRC in my heart and in my head."
"In life we need new challenges and I feel that it is time to change. Thank you HRC," concludes Pedrosa in the HRC statement.
The driver has announced that at the Catalan Grand Prix taking place in Montmeló he will talk about his sporting future.
